T-minus 11 Days...

In 11 days, I will be heading south to the South American country of Peru with this wonderful team you see right here. I'm beyond excited to travel to a new country, but at the same time I'm a little nervous. This will be my second mission trip, and all I hope for is to be open to whatever God may reveal to me while I'm there. We will be working with people from all different socioeconomic backgrounds, kids from all ages, and we even have to somehow be able to give our testimonies in Spanish. Not to mention, we will also be playing soccer (or fĂștbol as they call it) into the wee hours of the morning. I know that I'll have the time of my life out there, but I just want to also be aware of what other things I may see while out on the mission field. After all, my first purpose for being there is a mission trip, not a vacation.

Despite my reservations, I'm just happy to be going with the team that I'm going with because all of us share the same love for Peru and God's people there. We've all been able to connect on a deeper level and I know that we have each others' backs. We are there for each other not only as friends, but as brothers and sisters in Christ.

On the flip side, no matter what adventures may happen while I'm out there, I'm ready.
