January + February Sponsor Spotlight: Allison

Because I Said SO
If you visit my blog regularly, you probably have noticed over the past almost 2 months now, that I've had Allison from Because I Said So on my sidebar. She has been my premium sponsor since late December now, and it has been great having her around and getting to know her! If you want to hang out on my sidebar like she did, check out my sponsorship options!

Allison is from the South and is an aspiring wedding planner. She has a dog and loves the color pink! Her blog is called Because I Said So because everything she says and she likes are "because [she] said so!"

If you're wondering what she talks about on her blog, it's primarily weddings, her dog, and her recent braces! She still looks cute with them :]

Allison has been really cool to get to know recently, and she is super passionate about what she does! Whether it's her dog or her dream to become a wedding planner, she really puts a lot of effort into what she loves. She also has a quirkiness to her that is fun! I think it's the way she writes and the voice she has on her blog, but you can tell she has energy in her posts and that she's having fun with what she's doing.

Another thing that I have admired about her is her 6+ year relationship with her boyfriend! Of course, I love when she posts about her man because it's encouraging to me. Usually, people are surprised that Darell and I have been together for almost 5 years, so when I meet people who have dated longer than us, it makes me happy because they inspire me. Seeing dating couples date long periods of time encourage me when I am surrounded by engaged/married friends who haven't dated as long as I have.

Check out Allison if you haven't already! Why? Because I said so!

From New England to the South: Annaliese of Southern Belle in Training

This is the last of my sponsors posts for this month, I promise! Haha, but my last sponsor for the month was Annaliese of Southern Belle in Training. This isn't the first time she's been on the blog, and it probably won't be the last. Haha.

She, along with Liv of Liv, Love, Laugh both held the "Dating" ad spots on the blog this month as a surprise prize from winning my birthday giveaway a couple months ago.

Annaliese is someone I've been "friends" (I only use quotes because we've never met in person) with since summer 2013 when I first started this blog. She's seen my blog from its beginnings and I've watched her blog grow and evolve as well.

Her blog has improved so much as a fashion and lifestyle blog and I'm honestly very impressed at how much her photos have improved specifically! I'm hoping to have more quality photos like that more consistently in the future. She has such a cute sense of style!

One of the first things that drew me to her and her blog when I first met her was her faith. See, I had just started blogging and wanted my faith to be apart of my blog, even if it wasn't the primary topic I talked about. She was already blogging and seemed to have successfully write a quality blog that incorporated her faith into it. Not only that, she herself just seemed like such a sweet and genuine person, and those kinds of people are the ones that I tend to like and be more likely to follow. I'm all for being real. I always talk about this when I talk about her but it's because her love for Jesus is so evident in her life. I love it.

She wants to go into radio (which I think is rad, especially because I've never met anyone aspiring for that) and she is also currently living in the South although she's originally from Maine (hence her blog name, haha).

Annaliese is just the girl that would love to meet and genuinely be friends with anyone! She is such a sweetheart and I have loved getting to know her over the past couple of years.

So check her out! She's a cool girl and you won't regret it! Here is the past couple of times she's been on the blog:

For the Love of Journalism & Theology: Liv of Liv, Love, Laugh

I love meeting and following bloggers who blog about things with substance, and Liv from Liv, Love, Laugh is one of them. Every time she writes, there is meaning to it. She's also an aspiring journalist like me, which is also something that makes me immediately like a person more [: haha.

Liv is one of two bloggers who had my "Dating" ad spot for the past month, and it has been fun working with her. She was actually one of the winners of my recent giveaway celebrating my birthday, and as a surprise addition to the prizes, I offered Liv and Miss Alk ad space on the blog!

Liv blogs over at Liv, Love, Laugh. The name is resemblant of the phrase, Live, Laugh, Love (to me at least), but I believe the name is meant to also describe her life and how she lives it. Those are my thoughts, not hers. Haha. I've been following Liv's blog for a year or so now, but I've only started getting to know her a little bit more this year.

She is a journalism student living in New York. SO JEALOUS. I feel like if you're going to do journalism anywhere, you either need to be in the heart of LA or NY. Especially New York. Most major newspapers and other publications have HQ in NYC.

Fun fact: we also have a mutual friend in real life! Liv & I have never met in person. We have only met online through blogging. But this past spring, I met a guy from her school that worked on the newspaper with her, and she later told me that she was on the same staff. I didn't know that at the time that I met him, so that was pretty cool.

One thing I love about Liv is how she isn't afraid to talk about her faith. She talks about it on her blog and talks about unique things in regards to faith and religion. She goes to a Catholic university and her dream is to be a correspondent to the Vatican City, so it's safe to say that she is a proud Catholic. I like her perspectives and posts, like her tweet about how the eucharist is made:
She's an awesome girl. She has a lot to say and isn't afraid to voice her opinions about it. I like her for that. I also love her love for journalism. A woman after my own heart.

Check her out if you haven't already! Go stalk her. (It's okay, I won't tell her you did).

Some cool posts by her:

November + December Sponsor Spotlight: Peony Project Ladies

It's been a while since I've had a sponsor spotlight, but I just relaunched my sponsors page last month along with Adproval's new beta system allowing for coupon codes for ad spaces. If you are interested in purchasing an ad spot with me (they're relatively cheap!) use the code TISTHESEASON for 25% off any ad space worth more than $5 at checkout!

To celebrate, I recently had a few ladies from the Peony Project, a Christian blogger support group I'm in, sponsor me for the past month! Unfortunately, due to finals their sidebar ads are no longer on my sidebar and I didn't have this post up sooner, but better late than never, right?

---------------------------------------

This here is Susana from Hurray I'm a Mommy. As you can tell, she's a new mom exploring and enjoying motherhood. She writes a lot of personal posts about herself and thoughts she has on certain things. One that I really enjoyed was her post about surviving the holidays after a loss. No matter what time of year you lost a loved one, there are always those first few holidays that you spend without them, and it's hard.
Other than talking about her personal thoughts, she shares some recipes, talks about owning a puppy vs. having a baby, and so many other fun types of posts that come with being a newlywed and a new mom. Show Susana some love and check her out!

Kenji is a very strong and beautiful woman of God and Rheumatoid Arthritis survivor and she blogs over at Kenji is Here! She has a french bulldog named Poopsy, loves karaoke, and is loud and loves people! She writes a lot of meaningful posts, whether it's about the tattoos she has or even just how grateful she is for being where she is in life. Kenji is very real and vulnerable on her blog, something that I really appreciate and look up to in other bloggers. She isn't afraid to talk about the positive and negative things going on in her life, but she always does it looking on the bright side, always finding the joy in every situation. I applaud her for that because many bloggers can't do that or just don't. If you want to follow along with someone who will talk to you as if you're right in front of them, definitely check out Kenji! She is a great girl.

Norkor blogs at Voyageur Africaine, which translates to African Voyager in English from French. She is originally from Ghana and has been traveling the world since she was 6. She is currently in a gap year, and she's using that time to travel, of course. I love that she will bring her African culture into some of her posts and she definitely writes a lot about her faith in Christ. I especially love how bright and vivid her photos are in every post because I feel like they are able to allow the reader a peek into the beauty of her adventures. She will definitely leave you with a longing feeling of wanderlust!

Heather blogs over at Broken with Remedy, an inspirational lifestyle blog. She is an expectant mother writing about her pregnancy and encouraging others through her posts for teen girls or about prayer. She is still navigating through the blogging world but she's definitely enjoying the process! She definitely has a heart to serve and wants her blog to be an outlet for that.

Facebook

Bijee is the woman behind The Reflections of a Good Woman, an inspirational blog that talks about relationships, friendships, and life in general. She works to reach out and help out everyone who may need the encouragement. Her blog very well reflects the name. Her posts are meant to motivate you to do something or change something in your life for the better, usually little by little. Some of them include: the blessing of breakfast and devotional time in the morning, or an honest post about telling people that they cannot dictate who her own daughter should become. Bijee does a great job at definitely working hard to motivate people to evaluate and reflect on themselves as people and even on a spiritual level at times. Her faith definitely shines through.

So those are my sponsors for this month! It has been amazing being part of the Peony Project and getting to meet such a wide array of women who share the faith that I have. Sometimes it's hard to be a blogger that incorporates their faith into their work, so it was heaven sent for me to find this group and be part of it.

If you are interested in being part of The Peony Project, there are directions on Betsy's (the founder) page about it! If you are interested in sponsoring Livin' and Lovin' Blog and want to be part of this community, get some more information here. I have a variety of options, from free swaps to a two-month long sponsorship where you get all the perks plus some customization to your experience so that you are getting the love you deserve! Don't forget to use the code TISTHESEASON at checkout to get 25% off any spot more than $5!

Stay tuned, because I'll be featuring my two top sponsors for the month very soon! [:

Let Me Tell You About Jordan

Have you ever met someone that you just felt like they got you? Someone that is on the same page as you in every way and you're amazed and grateful that you got to meet them? Well, that is how I feel with Jordan.

Jordan has been my premium sponsor for two months now, and has the rest of this month to go. I've really been getting to know her through this sponsorship and even outside of that, and I've really enjoyed my time with her, even though I haven't personally "met" her yet. She's a nursing student from the South that decided to channel her thoughts into her blog.

In case you didn't already know, Jordan blogs over at The Spontaneous Idealist. The blog's name came from the Myers Briggs personality test (I took the test and got the same personality type as her!). Her blog is different than many blogs that you come across nowadays. Instead of being a lifestyle blog like most others, she decided to focus on using her blog to inspire others.

One of the parts about her and her blog that make her stand out (and I commend her for), is her faith. Jordan isn't afraid to talk about it openly on her blog. As a Christian myself who occasionally writes about her faith, it is actually very comforting to know that there is someone else out there going through some of the same things I'm going through in our spiritual selves, but at the same time someone in the blogging world that I can walk through it with.

I'm glad that I have many friends in my life that share my faith and beliefs, but it is also so comforting to meet other Christian bloggers online as well. If your faith is part of your blog and niche, it can get pretty daunting sometimes with all the other fashion and lifestyle blogs out there that don't feature their faith or any faith at all. It's definitely not to say that is bad--but with Christianity being highly scrutinized in mainstream media nowadays, it is nice to find comfort in knowing that there are other bloggers who share your beliefs and share them on their own blogs. It's the same as meeting someone and finding out they're just like you, except online.

I recently had the privilege to Skype with Jordan a few weeks ago (we didn't get any pictures), and it was really cool to get to see her and talk to her about anything and everything, really. We talked about blogging, a little bit about ourselves, our faith, and so much more. I also thought it was really cute to hear parts of her Southern accent in some of the words she said :]

Basically, what I am trying to say is that Jordan is one of the most beautiful and genuine souls that I have met since joining the blogging world last year. I love that I have the ability to bond with her not only through our writing but through our faith as well.

She is an amazing person and I recommend that you should check her out if you haven't already.

She's guest posted for me twice! Here are her posts if you haven't seen them already:

June Sponsor Spotlight: Raewyn + Lauren!

Today I'm spotlighting two of my sponsors for this month: Raewyn from Be a Warrior Queen and Lauren from Sassy Sweetheart Blog! The best part about having wonderful people sponsoring your blog is that you get to know them through their blogs and as people as well. I've really enjoyed talking with these two wonderful ladies!

-----------------------------------------

Raewyn is a newlywed from Southern California, like me! (The SoCal part, not the newlywed part.) Her blog, Be a Warrior Queen, is all about self-empowerment for women! She writes stuff about herself and her new hubby as well of course, but I think the whole basis behind her blog is great. We live in a society that puts down women all too often, and it's good to have a place where you can be encouraged.

She's awesome. I hope to meet her one day soon, especially since we live less than half an hour from each other!

Lauren is just like her blog--Sassy and a sweetheart! She and I both sponsored each other's blogs the past month or so, so it's been great getting to know her! She's a bookworm (like me) and has been spending a lot of time just enjoying summer these past few weeks! I recently guest posted on blog about the e-books vs. print books debate, and I had so much fun doing it!

Follow her around and check her out!

May Sponsor Spotlight: Harper + Jordan

Today is about two of my sponsors, Harper from Harper Honey and Jordan from The Spontaneous Idealist! Harper has my medium ad spot, and Jordan has my premium ad spot, and Jordan will have her own post dedicated to her very soon!

If you would like to be featured on my blog like them and sponsor Livin' and Lovin' Blog, please head over to this page! Sponsoring this blog allows me to do more things to help improve this wonderful blog, and in turn, you guys!

----------------------------------

Say hello to Harper of Harper Honey!
This is Harper! She is one of the first bloggers whose blog I followed when I first started to blog, and over this past month, I've actually really gotten to know her super well! And I will say that she is a pretty awesome human being. Asian bloggers unite!

On her blog, Harper writes about anything from fashion finds, career tips, and sometimes she'll include some personal posts as well. She has a very well-rounded blog and I love reading it.

See her for yourself and follow her around!

My other sponsor is Jordan! You might recognize her from guest posting about breakups back in March, but this month she came back as a sponsor!

I won't say too much about Jordan since I will be highlighting her more in detail in another post, but for now I'm just putting her out there for you to check her out!

My blog anniversary is coming up very soon! Stay tuned for all the goodies coming up! If you don't know what will be happening during the week of my blog anniversary, read more about it here. Until then,

Sponsor Spotlight: Miss Alk + Charlotte

Today, I am highlighting two of my sponsors, Miss Alk from Southern Belle in Training and Charlotte from Velvet and Vinyls. Both of them are my medium sponsors, meaning that they both get an introductory post about them!

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Look at her, isn't she beautiful? Credits: Merideth Sledge Photography
First, let's start with Miss Alk!

She is one of the first bloggers that I began following when I started this blog, and I had always admired her for being a Christian blogger who also loved talking about fashion, beauty, college life, and other things like that. I've also really loved watching her blog evolve over the past year and seeing how she's still remained humble despite her blog growing as much as it has.

Other facts about her: She's originally from Maine (I've always wanted to know someone from Maine), but she's going to school in the South (hence her blog name!). She is also a sorority girl in Alpha Delta Pi!

Get to know her and follow her!

This is the awesome, Charlotte behind Velvet and Vinyls! Photo cred: Twitter
Up next, we have Charlotte!

Charlotte is a blogger from the UK, and although I only recently started following her blog and getting to know her, she seems like a very cool girl! She is a lifestyle blogger who writes about Fashion, Beauty, and whatever else is on her mind! She is also a baby blogger who just started her blog back in February, so help a girl out and check out her blog!

Other facts about her: She's turning 21 this year! Haaaaay! If you couldn't tell already, she loves listening to vinyl records and is also studying photography in school.

Check her out!

Check out these lovely ladies and all the other ones on my sidebar for this month! Just click on their ad and it'll take you directly to their website! [:

Blogger Spotlight: Allison of Because I Said So

Today I am spotlighting one of my sponsors, Allison from Because I Said So! She has my number 2 ad package on the blog this month, so she is getting a nice introduction post dedicated to her!

Allison's blog is witty. That is one of the first things I noticed about it when I visited her blog for the first time. A few of the things she writes about are sarcastic, which I love. One of my favorite posts on her blog is her Shopaholics Anonymous post. So many of the points she talked about were so true! We both love shopping, although judging by some of her points she may win that Shopaholic award... haha.

She's just a normal girl talking about the world the way she sees it. I like how she says things how they are. If you haven't checked her out already, I say go do it! You won't regret it.

Follow Allison!
